Virtual Memorial for Kay Smith

The weekend of December 20, Kay Smith passed away unexpectedly. The widow of Jaffort Smith, who was killed in 2016 by the St. Paul Police, Kay was a beloved member of our community. In a very real way, her death is also on the hands of the St. Paul Police. Kay was never able to overcome the loss of her beloved husband, and like many families of stolen lives, she was mistreated by SPPD. None of that stopped her dedication to the fight for justice for Jaffort and she stood by his mother and many others who experienced similar losses. She will be missed.

Details for viewing her memorial service live will be posted here later. For now, we are asking for your support and participation:

Please send in your remembrances of Kay (written or video), any pictures you have of Kay. These will be shared with her loved ones and may be included in the memorial service. You can email them to kaysmithmemorial@gmail.com or send via text message to (651) 447-7333.

Click here to donate in Kay’s memory. Funds will be used to care for her beloved dogs.

The event is finished.
